About Us

Who We Are
We are Beth and Craig Weaver. We both had successful careers in professional services and education before founding Sundance Mountain Lands. Our mountain roots grow deep, Beth's in the mountains of East Tennessee and the Asheville-Hendersonville area of North Carolina, Craig's in the mountains of North Alabama and of Western North Carolina. We were married on the Blue Ridge Parkway not far from our home in Foscoe, near Banner Elk.

Why We Hold To This Perspective
We believe all people are called to love and deal respectfully with Creation. The Spirit asks us to honor and use Creation with restraint and wisdom. Even land and its creatures that we "own" are gifts from the Creator, not mere possessions. We are to walk lightly and with humility upon the Earth. We are to treat the Earth and all her peoples the way we want to be treated.

Our Vision
Our vision and sense of purpose is to be a part of preserving these magnificent mountains and furthering the healthy natural environment that they are. We want to see these mountain ridges, slopes, coves and valleys developed sensibly and wisely. We want to help ensure that their beauty and natural vitality endure for generations to come.

We do these things that the people may live well with each other and with the land.
