Working With Green Real Estate Brokers
Working with one of us as your real estate agent is, in many ways, quite like what you are used to: we help people buy or sell real estate with the good ethics and professionalism you would expect from dealing with Reators®. We will do our best for you and hope that you will be pleased with our efforts on your behalf.
The main way working with us is different from your past experience is that our “green” values and yours can affect the environment for the positive. We donate part of every commission to a local environmental stewardship organization. Our specialized knowledge about land preservation, green land development and use, green construction resources, and energy efficiency informs us as we work with you. We want your investment to work sustainably for you and for the environment.
By bringing an ecologically-friendly perspective to Real Estate, we hope to show you the value and benefits of doing business in a green fashion. We work together as a team with you to make sure you and the earth can receive the most benefit from a particular property.
Beyond Competent and Ethical Brokerage
At Sundance Mountain Lands we are committed to the high ethical standards and competency you would want in real estate brokerage services. We do at least four additional things:
- We will do our best to satisfy you with the process and the outcome of our work together. We do not try to “sell” you on something to which your mind and/or your heart objects.
- All of our work is informed by our ecological consciousness and our hope that such consciousness will spread.
- At the closing of your real estate transaction, we will write a check for 10% of our commission to a not-for-profit organization of your choice dedicated to preserving the land and the ecological health of the High Country. - We make it our business to stay informed about homes and land on the market that have above average, if not outstanding, “green” and/or ecological value, especially those that are reasonably priced.
Money Isn’t Everything
Like everybody, we’re “in it for the money.” Yes, it’s true this is how we make a living. But that’s not the only, or even the most important reason we’re in the real estate business. We have a very real sense of purpose, a sense of mission to make a positive impact on the quality of the environment for human beings and for all of God’s creation. We hope to help you do the same. Together we can make a difference as we blend economic, ecological, and aesthetic values to the fulfillment of your dreams and goals. Our hope is that you will come to have a respectful, conscious relationship with your land or other property and its interaction with the environment.
